AGM Worldview Dictionary | Chapter 1: Basic Vocabulary

The fundamental vocabulary that forms the worldview of the Asset Garden Method (AGM). This serves as a "common language" for humans and AI to share the same mental imagery and converse without misunderstanding.

1. The Garden

Definition: The concept of viewing the "assets" cultivated by the user as a single garden.

  • The Garden: Your entire asset portfolio
  • State of the Garden: The current status of your assets
  • Scenery of the Garden: Your state of mind / emotional standing
  • Changes in the Garden: Market fluctuations

Key Point: The state of the garden reflects asset status, the landscape mirrors your state of mind, and changes in the garden represent broader market dynamics.

2. The Seed

Definition: The smallest unit of asset building, symbolizing the "beginning of investment."

  • Sowing a Seed: Starting an investment
  • Types of Seeds: Asset classes / Investment categories
  • Number of Seeds: The degree of diversification

Key Point: Sowing seeds signifies starting your investment journey, the types of seeds show asset allocation, and the number of seeds represents how well your portfolio is diversified.

3. Hikattane

Definition: The glowing seed that Yuto first obtained. A core element within the AGM worldview.

  • A symbol of long-term growing assets
  • Provides a sense of security through its slow growth
  • The definitive starting point of the story
  • The archetype of the central plant in your garden

Key Point: It symbolizes long-term growing wealth, offering emotional reassurance through steady, unhurried growth. It is both the story's starting point and the template for the garden's central vegetation.

4. Hikappa

Definition: The matured form of Hikattane. The glowing plant that stands at the center of Yuto's garden.

  • The tangible results of recurring investments
  • A core symbol of long-term compounding growth
  • An anchor for emotional and psychological support
  • The central narrative axis of the story

Key Point: As a glowing plant standing at the absolute center of Yuto's garden, it stands as a monument to consistent investment habits, long-term growth, and peace of mind.

5. Tonko Tonko

Definition: Initially introduced as the official mascot of the Gardening Exhibition 27, it functions as a supportive, empathetic companion within the AGM universe.

  • Embraces and validates emotional fluctuations
  • Serves as a mirror reflecting Yuto's inner feelings
  • The trusted "friend" of the garden

Key Point: It absorbs and normalizes shifting emotions, acting as a direct reflection of Yuto's psychological state.

6. Watering

Definition: The ultimate symbol of recurring dollar-cost averaging investments.

  • Monthly recurring capital allocations
  • The act of executing deposits calmly and mechanically
  • A core habit detached from emotional impulses

Key Point: The practice of steadily adding capital month after month without letting emotions interfere—a true "ritual of continuity" designed to keep the garden alive.

7. The Storm

Definition: Represents market crashes, corrections, or sharp declines.

  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Volatility and turbulence
  • Yet, the garden inherently endures

Key Point: While storms bring temporary fear and unease, they are simply natural market phenomena; given time, the garden will organically recover.

8. The Dry Season

Definition: A stagnant phase where asset growth flatlines and structural changes become difficult to see above ground.

  • Numbers move horizontally / sideways
  • Days continue without any visible wealth increases
  • A period highly prone to triggering impatience or doubt
  • However, the underlying roots (the life foundation) remain fully alive

Key Point: Portfolios flattening can easily cause anxiety, but beneath the surface, your financial foundation is holding firm.

9. Winter

Definition: A quiet season where the entire garden enters structural dormancy, and visible transformations above the ground completely vanish.

  • Growth appears to have completely ground to a halt
  • Extended intervals where asset movements become microscopic
  • Deep underground, preparations for the upcoming spring are steadily advancing
  • A profound phase for patience, calm, and radical acceptance

Key Point: Beneath the visible surface, nature is silently prepping for the next seasonal bloom.

10. The Sprout

Definition: The long-awaited period when assets begin expanding and multiplying bit by bit.

  • Small, tangible changes
  • New realizations and insights
  • Deep personal joy

Key Point: The emergence of subtle gains and validation, serving as a powerful symbol that sticking to your routine was truly worth it.

11. The Harvest

Definition: The ultimate representation of your portfolio exit strategy.

  • Systematically drawing down assets when necessary
  • Deploying accumulated wealth toward your true life purposes
  • A pinnacle moment of fulfillment and joy

Key Point: The deliberate act of plucking mature fruits when needed; it marks not an absolute conclusion, but rather the genesis of your next life chapter.
