Author’s Vision
- A Story and a Cultural Framework to Be Shared Across Generations
- A Shared Language for Humans and AI
- A Free and Open Tale for the World
AGM is not simply a financial education program.
It is designed as a long-term cultural framework that brings together financial education, storytelling, shared language, documentation, and AI–Human Co-Creation.
2. Background of the AGM Project
AGM emerged from several interconnected observations.
1. The Need for Psychological Safety
Many beginners struggle to continue learning about money because of comparison, urgency, shame, or fear.
AGM responds to this challenge by placing Quietness and the Soil of the Heart at the center of its worldview.
The goal is to create a space where people can learn without being pressured to compete, rush, or prove themselves.
2. Turning Habits into Culture
Financial behavior should not depend only on effort or willpower.
AGM explores how everyday financial habits can become part of a sustainable culture.
Through vocabulary such as Seed, Watering, Season, and Storm, AGM provides a way to understand continuity and habit formation as a process of cultivation.
3. Sharing a Worldview Through Stories
Numbers alone cannot fully communicate the psychological, emotional, and cultural dimensions of financial life.
AGM therefore uses Stories to express experiences that are difficult to capture through numbers alone.
Through stories, readers can not only understand the ideas of AGM, but also feel and remember them.
4. Designing Culture for the AI Era
AI is not positioned as a replacement for human judgment or stewardship.
Instead, AI participates as a co-gardener — helping humans observe, organize, document, reflect, and create within the shared garden.
AGM therefore includes AI Guidelines and Semantic Rules to help establish a shared cultural and linguistic foundation for AI–Human Co-Creation.
3. The 40-Year Documentation Plan
AGM is designed as a 40-year cultural documentation project.
This is not a plan centered on short-term results.
It begins with the assumption that culture requires time to establish roots, develop continuity, and pass from one generation to another.
Why 40 Years?
-
The Time Required for Habits to Become Culture
Individual habits do not become culture overnight. Sustained practice across many years can allow personal habits to develop into shared language, stories, values, and cultural patterns. -
Intergenerational Financial Education
Financial culture cannot be completed within a single generation. A long-term horizon creates space for future generations to inherit not only financial knowledge, but also a culture of Quietness, psychological safety, observation, and continuity. -
The Maturation of AI–Human Co-Creation
The relationship between humans and AI is still developing. For AI–Human Co-Creation to mature as a cultural practice, long-term records of vocabulary, Stories, Garden Logs, experiences, and dialogue are necessary. -
Building the Documentation Architecture
The AGM documentation system includes:- Garden Logs
- Asset Growth Records
- Stories
- Worldview Dictionary
- AI Guidelines
- AI Behavior Protocol
- Guides
- Culture Garden records
These elements gain greater cultural meaning as they accumulate and become connected over time.
-
Sharing a Quiet Financial Culture with the World
AGM is a cultural project that began in Japan. For a quiet financial education culture to reach people across different countries, languages, and generations, time is necessary.
The goal is not to spread AGM through urgency. It is to allow it to grow quietly, steadily, and openly.
4. What AGM Aims to Create
AGM seeks to cultivate several forms of cultural growth.
1. A Financial Education Culture Centered on Psychological Safety
A culture where people can learn about money without being driven by comparison, urgency, shame, or fear.
2. A Worldview That Cultivates Habits as Culture
A long-term structure in which:
Seed → Watering → Roots → Culture
Small actions can become habits. Habits can develop into shared practices. Shared practices can eventually become culture.
3. The Intergenerational Transmission of Financial Culture Through Stories
Stories carry the emotional and symbolic heart of AGM.
Garden Logs preserve the ongoing record of its development.
Together, they help AGM remain understandable, memorable, and transmissible across time.
4. A New Form of AI–Human Co-Creation
AI is not an evaluator or owner of the garden.
AI participates as a co-gardener, helping humans observe, reflect, document, and create.
The human remains the steward.
5. A Free and Open Cultural Framework
AGM is intended to remain open to learning, sharing, adaptation, and contribution.
Its purpose is not commercial persuasion.
It aims to develop financial education as a form of cultural knowledge that can be freely shared and cultivated by people around the world.
5. AGM as a Cultural Framework
AGM is composed of several interconnected layers.
- Vocabulary: Garden, Soil, Seed, Season, Watering, Roots, Storm, Quietness, Inner Weather, Observation, Continuity — A shared language for understanding financial life and cultural growth.
- Documentation: Garden Logs, Asset Growth Records — Records that preserve what happened over time.
- Stories: Hikari & Ko’s Culture Garden, Asset Garden Stories, Micro-Stories — The emotional, symbolic, and narrative layer of AGM.
- Culture Garden: Giving, Creativity, Learning, AI–Human Co-Creation — The space where cultural growth extends beyond financial activity.
- AI Guidelines: Psychological Safety, Semantic Boundaries, Cultural Alignment, Human Stewardship — The foundation for responsible AI participation in AGM.
- Worldview: Long-term cultivation, Quietness, Observation, Continuity, Psychological Safety, Culture — The principles that connect the different parts of AGM into one coherent framework.
- 40-Year Plan: Long-term documentation, cultural continuity, intergenerational transmission, and global sharing.
6. The Two Gardens
AGM develops through two connected but distinct gardens.
Asset Garden
The garden of financial life and practice. It includes:
- financial habits
- regular contributions
- observation
- psychological safety
- numerical records
- long-term cultivation
Culture Garden
The garden of cultural growth. It includes:
- Stories
- shared language
- learning
- creativity
- giving
- AI–Human Co-Creation
- contributions from readers and participants
The two gardens grow side by side.
The Asset Garden records the development of financial life.
The Culture Garden records the development of meaning, language, relationships, and shared culture.
Together, they form the broader landscape of AGM.
7. AGM as a Living Cultural Project
AGM is not intended to remain unchanged.
The vocabulary may deepen.
Stories may continue to emerge.
Garden Logs may accumulate.
The relationship between humans and AI may evolve.
New gardeners may interpret the framework through their own experiences.
The purpose of documentation is therefore not to freeze AGM in time. It is to preserve its roots while allowing the culture to grow.
The first records belong to one garden. Future records may belong to many gardens.
Over decades, these records can become a cultural memory that connects generations of gardeners.
