Basic Vocabulary and Short Definitions
The most fundamental vocabulary that shapes the AGM worldview. These terms function as a common language across Garden Logs, Stories, AI Guidelines, Culture Garden, and the wider AGM Documentation.
- Garden
- A metaphorical space where a person's financial life, learning, habits, and culture take root and grow. Growth is gradual and shaped through continuity.
- Seed
- A small action, learning, or realization. Rather than a single grand action, seeds are planted repeatedly to eventually grow into habits and culture.
- Soil
- The foundation of psychological safety, mental state, and learning. If the soil is not prepared, it is difficult for any seed to grow.
- Watering
- The steady accumulation of quiet actions. Refers to small daily habits such as regular contributions, logging, observation, and adjustment.
- Roots
- A state in which habits are deeply established. The deeper the roots, the less likely one is to be shaken during a season of storms.
- Season
- A cycle that reflects the conditions of life, learning, and markets. Includes seasons for beginning, nurturing, observing, and waiting. A season is not a measure for classifying success or failure, but a perspective for reading one's current state.
- Market Weather
- The condition of the market, expressed through metaphors such as sunny, cloudy, rainy, or stormy. Refers to the external environment that individuals cannot directly control.
- Storm
- A challenging period marked by sudden market changes, anxiety, stagnation, or losses. A storm is part of the garden, not a failure in itself.
- Inner Weather
- One's emotional and psychological state, including fear, impatience, expectation, and hesitation. It must be observed separately from Market Weather.
- Garden Log
- A record used to document what is happening in the garden. Beyond numbers, it describes Seasons, Inner Weather, actions, realizations, and the growth of culture.
- Culture Garden
- A garden where non-financial cultural growth—such as stories, vocabulary, AI–Human Co-Creation, contributions, and habits—is cultivated. Alongside the Asset Garden, it represents a key concept of AGM's cultural development.
- Harvest
- A period when results become visible. In AGM, however, harvesting is not the primary objective; it is treated as a natural byproduct of long-term watering and continuity.
- Winter
- A season of stagnation, quietness, and preparation. Even when visible movement is minimal, the garden and its culture may still be quietly developing. Winter does not signify failure.
- Quietness
- A quiet space that precedes action. A space for stepping back from urgency and comparison to observe, reflect, and realign. Quietness is not the absence of action, but the space that makes thoughtful action possible.
- Observation
- An attitude of calmly noticing the situation rather than reacting impulsively. The practice of observing markets, emotions, habits, and changes in the garden, reflecting and adjusting when necessary. It is the central posture of keeping a Garden Log.
- Two Gardens

AGM consists of two interconnected gardens:
- Asset Garden — The garden of assets, where wealth building and financial habits grow.
- Culture Garden — The garden of culture, where stories, language, AI–Human Co-Creation, contributions, and learning grow.
AGM is designed as a culture in which these two gardens grow side by side.
- Cultural Season
- A cyclical perspective for reading changes and shifts within AGM culture. Used to observe how AGM culture—including stories, vocabulary, AI co-creation, contributions, and community—evolves over time.
- Continuity

A core concept of AGM. Continuing shapes habits, and habits cultivate culture. Rather than a single large effort, a garden is built by sustaining small actions through time.
